Laura Robbins is a Ph.D. student in Art History at Rutgers University, specializing in medieval studies with a current focus on depictions of medieval saint martyrdom narratives. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Rutgers University. Her master’s thesis explored the legal and religious definitions of the sacred in museum spaces, analyzing the limitations of current legislation and proposing solutions for a more effective approach to sacred object return.
She has served as a research assistant in the Departments of History and Art History and is an editorial board member of the Rutgers Art Review.
