A victim of the terrorist attacks on September 11th on board United Flight 175, the Department of Art History is honored to remember Patrick J. Quigley IV, an alumnus who majored in art history in 1982. Patrick, 40, was a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

The Department of Art History is privileged to help offer tribute to the memory of Patrick through the establishment of the Patrick J. Quigley IV Memorial Scholarship. Soon after the attack, PriceWaterhouseCoopers established a fund to help the families of the victims of 9/11, and the Quigley family chose to use this support to endow a Memorial Scholarship in Patrick's name. The endowment will fund two annual scholarships given to Seniors majoring in Art History. The first two students will be selected over the next year, and the first awards will be made in the Fall of 2003.

We recently welcomed Patrick's wife, Patricia, his sister, Ruth, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Quigley, to the Art History Graduation Luncheon. Also attending the luncheon was Tammy Arnett and Don Scotto, representatives from PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

The Department is very grateful to the members of the Quigley family and to the friends, colleagues and partners of PricewaterhouseCoopers for their support of the Art History Department, and for providing this opportunity to future generations of art history seniors.
