Applications, Deadlines & Inquiries

Application forms (which incorporate fellowships and assistantships) and copies of the Graduate School catalog are available on request from the:

In addition to the completed form, and Graduate Record Examination scores, applicants are required to submit:

  1. All relevant (undergraduate and graduate) transcripts;

  2. three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with the applicant's academic work;

  3. a writing sample.

Applicants with the M.A. from another university who wish to enter the Ph.D. program are required to solicit at least one of their letters of recommendation from a graduate instructor and to submit a writing sample demonstrating their critical thinking and scholarship in art history.

The deadline for applying to the Graduate Program is January 10.
