Gift to Alexander Library

The Dehner Foundation for the Visual Arts and Joan Marter recently donated a work from Dorothy Dehner's Stretcher Series (1992) to Alexander Library.

Dorothy Dehner (1901-1994) was one of the first generation of Abstract Expressionist artists although her work was not widely recognized until the 1960s. Her abstract works are noted for their "lyrical and architectonic approaches".
