The recent financial crisis has hit all areas of the economy hard. As a public university, Rutgers is dependent on the State of New Jersey but receives less than a third of its fund from the State. Another 23% comes from student tuition and fees. through this Rutgers has managed to remain one of the top research universities in the country.
The Department of Art History is recognized for its excellence among the university programs. Art History graduates have gone on to excell in various fields of endeavor. You can help strenthen the work of the Department of Art History
Tax deductable gifts may be made to the Department of Art History in one of three ways:
1. Online: The secure donation form is an easy way to contribute to the department. Please check which fund the gift will go to: The general art history fund, to the Rutgers Art Review or to Historic Preservation. Click Here for more information about these funds.
2. Check: Checks should be payable to "Rutgers University Foundation". Include a designation (i.e Art History, Rutgers Art Review, Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies or Historic Preservation). You might also choose to designate the Olga Berendsen Award, The Jacobs/Mitnick American Art Fund, the RU Art History Dept. Mary B. Cowdrey Est. & Trust.or the Patrick Quigley Scholarship. 3. Annual Gift: You can designate the Department of Art History or any of the funds listed here as the recipient of your annual gift through the foundation. Gifts to the Department of Art History will also be credited toward your Class Gift.
